Mark Zuckerberg sold nearly half a billion dollars worth of Meta Platforms Inc. stock in the last two months of 2023 after a two-year hiatus.
Meta’s chief executive sold shares on every trading day from Nov. 1 through the end of the year, selling nearly 1.28 million shares worth about $428 million, according to a tax filing released Tuesday.
On average, each sale made $10.4 million, with the largest sale on Dec. 28 bringing in $17.1 million.
Prior to that, Zuckerberg hadn’t sold Meta stock since November 2021.
Last year, the company’s share price rose 194% from a seven-year low reached in late 2022.
Meanwhile, Zuckerberg is also building a top-secret compound on a Hawaiian island with residential units, offices, a gym and an underground bunker.
Does he know something we don’t?
