Officials from the United States, Britain and the EU plan to jointly pressure the United Arab Emirates this week to stop supplying goods to Russia, WSJ reported.
The UAE is visited by government officials from Washington and European capitals since Monday as part of a collective global effort to prevent computer chips, electronic components and other so-called dual-use products from falling into Russian hands, according to WSJ.
Western officials complain that requests to stop exporting such items have been largely ignored.
But an UAE official emphasized that the country strictly complies with international law, when asked about the matter.
