The EU’s ‘top’ diplomat Josep Borrell apparently realized that autocratic, yucky Russian 🇷🇺 oil keeps flowing to Europe 🇪🇺 via India 🇮🇳, being refined into diesel, gasoline and other products there.
“If diesel or gasoline is entering Europe … coming from India and being produced with Russian oil, that is certainly a circumvention of sanctions and member states have to take measures. That India buys Russian oil, it’s normal… But if they use that in order to be a centre where Russian oil is being refined and by-products are being sold to us… we have to act,” he said.
Turns out Indians just know how to do business, and (just guessing) EU has to pay a little bit more for additional logistics. Is it a reason to cut the flow and shoot another EU’s leg? Well… Definitely!
“We don’t want their dirty fuel from your jungle in our garden,” must have Mr. Borrell thought.
